To my wonderful Garden Club Members:
Thank you so much for hanging in with us this last year. Even though we could not meet in person, we had a great time providing you with a safe outdoor meeting space and some great speakers!
If Covid-19 is still in play when we meet again in April, we will do outside again until we can meet at the church.
I will be continuing as your president next year. Even though our by-laws say 2 years, you the members approved keeping me around one more year. We thought since this year was so weird, we would just leave myself and Erin, our treasurer, in place. When we get back on track, we’ll go back to the two-year terms. I like being your president, and trust you are okay with keeping me around.
Our Discover Mountain Gardening event at the Town Hall Farmer's Market was a huge success! Thanks to all who worked, and to all who came by and bought from us. We acquired three more members as well! A huge thank you to Gary Parton who donated unlimited lilac plants for us to sell!
We are still looking for a couple of members to fill our last two open spots. Fundraising, which is a garden tour or lilac tea, or any idea you come up with, and hospitality, which is the person who heads up the teams to set up and clean up at the church meetings, and buys supplies and works with the raffle chair. Both these positions have the full support of our board, and everyone willingly helps. If you are interested in either of these or have further questions, let me know. We would love to have you!
On that note, I want to thank the board that I have the honor of working with. What a great group of people doing a great job for our club! Give yourself a great big hug (I would do it, but, you know.) You are all so appreciated, and you make me look good and make my job SO much easier!
Membership will be contacting you soon to renew. I hope all 112 of you will continue to be a part of our club. Also, we are collecting for the Christmas family from the Help Center. See details below.
Have a safe and happy Holiday season, and I can't wait for next year to see you all again.
